[ECO][LOGICAL][NOMICS]

A dissertation research project that explores how nature and economics are intertwined through the lens of a companion Golden Apple Snail. It follows the implications of trying to value something as complicated as the natural world and how the capitalist infrastructures lead to Golden Apple Snails becoming one of the worlds most prolific invasive species.
The text comes in the form of a B6 sized book, kettle stitched together with pink linen thread. The first and last sections are made out of Pergamenta paper - a imitation velum paper which has been chosen to mimic the translucent shell of a snail. Each section of text is followed by a section of full bleed images relating to the chapter, a mixture of collected images and original photographs.
